Gallery » Joker - 05 Courier Ute
Paul brought this Courier to us with the intention of it turning out as one of New Zealand finest mini-trucks and indeed that is exactly what we did.First thing was to remove the body so chassis design could begin..The tubular chassis was designed and bent up with the idea that we wouldnt be having air-tanks because we wanted to store the air inside the chassis.once all tacked together and levels checked and re-checked, the chassis was then fully tig welded very accurately to ensure we had no airleaks. Next was some much needed treatment on the tray to maximize visibility of the intricate chassis.Tjhe tray was shaved and had a rolled tailgate skin made aswell..After we had the ute back together and driving, Paul then took it back and layed down a trick blend of PPG Liquid Crystal and some pearls on the truck then it was Kurts turn to have a play with some paint and lay the graphics and airbrushing on the truck, it was then known as the Joker.Ice audio then fitted Joker with an award winning audio set-up and from there Paul got the last of the National 4&ROTARY shows lined up and brought home a swag of award including:
Best Ford, Showstopper bodywork, Showstopper paint, Showstopper innovation, showstopper Engineered, Best airbrushing/graphics, Best minitruck and 2nd over-all in the NZ points series.
